The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Miami Dolphins for Week 15's "Monday Night Football" matchup. The Dolphins will face not only the Steelers but also an intense wind chill, with the game temperature nearing single digits.
Both teams come into the game still alive in the playoff hunt. Pittsburgh has a 7-6 record and sits atop the AFC North. Win or lose, the Steelers will be the division leader heading into Week 16; it just depends on how big a lead they have. A win, and Pittsburgh has a one-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens. A loss, and the Steelers are only on top due to holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Ravens, who they face in Week 18.
The Dolphins do not control their own playoff destiny. Miami started the season 1-6 and has gone 5-1 in its last six games, entering the MNF matchup with a 6-7 record. A loss would eliminate the Dolphins from playoff contention. A win would keep Miami alive, but it still needs several things to go its way over the last three weeks of the season to make the playoffs.
It is worth noting that the Steelers will not have TJ Watt for the game. He suffered a punctured lung during a dry needling recovery session, and it required surgery. The star defender is expected back at some point this season, but it won't be Monday night against Miami.
