Matchups have proven to be hit-or-miss as of late — last year's contests were marked by crooked score lines. Nevertheless, the event has become fundamental in the NFL's pursuit of world domination. It's hard to imagine the league will give up the chance of hosting such contests any time soon.
Last year's Christmas Day games featured quite the carrot attached to them. The league enlisted pop megastar Beyonce to serenade audiences during the Ravens' beatdown over the Texans. The Houston-based artist brought out Shaboozey and Post Malone to accompany her in her beloved hometown.
This year's spectacle doesn't have quite the same appeal. However, the man tasked with serving up tunes is a musical icon in his own right — albeit with a much different approach to that of his predecessor.

The best way to catch Snoop Dogg's halftime performance will be by tuning into Netflix on Thursday evening. The game will be aired on the streaming giant worldwide, although viewers in Detroit and Minnesota can find the match on their local CBS affiliate.

Snoop Dogg halftime show start time

It's unclear quite when Snoop will take the stage on Thursday evening. There's reason to believe it could be around 6 p.m. ET, though. The Lions and Vikings are set to start their fixture at 4:30 p.m. ET,. That means halftime will likely fall between 6 p.m. ET and 6:30 p.m. ET.
Beyonce's halftime show kicked off around 6:10 p.m. ET last year. You'd have to assume that Snoop Dogg's set will need decidedly fewer bells and whistles, ostensibly cutting down on setup time.
As always, things are subject to change. Detroit-Minnesota represents the second Christmas Day NFL matchup of the day. If the opening clash — a duel between the hapless Commanders and Cowboys — bleeds into the window of Lions-Vikings, it's possible the league could delay kickoff, pushing everything back a tad.

While we don't know the specifics about Snoop's halftime performance, NFL halftime shows (excluding the Super Bowl) tend to run between 12-15 minutes. In 2024, TMZ reported that Beyonce was granted an extended window to perform in.
For all that Snoop has accomplished in his musical career, it seems unlikely that he'll get much longer than the typically allotted 12-15 minute time frame.
