Ravens playoff picture: Updated chances for Baltimore to make 2025 NFL postseason in Week 13 image

The Baltimore Ravens postseason aspirations were hanging by a thread earlier in the NFL season, sitting at 1-5 through six weeks and two-time MVP Lamar Jackson dealing with an injury. But, Jackson returned and the Ravens rattled off five straight wins, the most recent being a 23-10 victory against the New York Jets.

With the win, the Ravens became tied for first place in the AFC North with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Baltimore owns the tiebreaker and entered Week 13 in the No. 4 seed in the AFC as the wins started to pile up.

After John Harbaugh, Jackson and co. Were dispatched by the Bengals on Thanksgiving, here's where Baltimore sits in the playoff picture.

The Ravens have drastically improved their playoff prospects after a disastrous 1-5 start, surging back into the AFC North lead with a five-game winning streak. According to the NFL Playoff Picture, Baltimore had an 80% chance to make the postseason entering Week 13.

Despite the slow start, the talent level of the roster, led by a two-time MVP quarterback, was always a major factor that made a late-season rally possible. Currently, the Ravens hold the all-important tiebreaker over the Pittsburgh Steelers for the division lead due to their superior 2-0 divisional record. But, the path to the AFC North crown hinges entirely on the two upcoming matchups against the Steelers in Week 14 and Week 18.

If the Ravens can sweep the Steelers, they would effectively put the division out of reach for their rivals. However, splitting the two games would leave the door open for the Steelers to catch them, potentially forcing tiebreakers to determine the champion. Simply put, winning both games against Pittsburgh, along with the others remaining, is the fastest and most secure route to the playoffs and a guaranteed top-four AFC seed, even after losing to the Bengals.

Baltimore also needs to keep winning non-divisional games. Per Tankathon, the Ravens have the 11th hardest remaining strength of schedule, which includes matchups against the 9-2 New England Patriots and 7-3-1 Green Bay Packers.

After losing to the Bengals, Baltimore dropped out of the AFC Playoff picture. That can change again if the Steelers lose to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, sending Baltimore back to the top of the AFC North via tiebreaker.

The top four teams are the division winners, who are guaranteed a home game:
