JUMP TO:

Patrick Mahomes took the NFL by storm ... eventually. The Texas Tech product was a surprising first-round selection of the Chiefs in 2017 as he was drafted as the heir apparent to veteran Kansas City QB Alex Smith, but he was seen as a reach when selected 10th overall.

Mahomes sat behind Smith for a year, only debuting in the final week of the regular season. He finished that game with 284 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. In his first year as the starter, Mahomes led Kansas City to the AFC championship game, though it resulted in a loss to the Patriots. He then led a playoff run in 2019 that culminated in the Chiefs' victory over the 49ers in the Super Bowl, Kansas City's first Lombardi Trophy since 1969.

Mahomes developed into one of the best quarterbacks not only in the league but also in NFL history. He and Kansas City won three Super Bowls in his first six years as the starting quarterback. Due to his development, he was handsomely compensated by the Chiefs' front office and was once the highest-paid quarterback in league history. Even though he has been dethroned, his career earnings and endorsements have allowed him to undertake a variety of business ventures.

Where does Patrick Mahomes live?

Mahomes has two mansions. One of them, which he lives in during the season, is in Belton, Missouri. It was an $8 million, custom-built mansion in Cass County. In the offseason, he often lives in his second mansion in Westlake, Texas.

The property in Belton is on eight acres and was built in 2020. The property is impressive. There is the mansion itself, which includes a home gym, indoor basketball court, aquarium and shoe room. Outside, there is a 50-yard football field with Mahomes' name and personal logo, a pond, a par-three golf hole and a swimming pool equipped with a water slide.
