What was once a four-game slate has exploded into a jam-packed, three-day, six-game extravaganza, officially kicking off the high-stakes road to the Super Bowl.
This expanded format not only delivers more thrilling football but also requires an all-star cast of broadcasters, demanding that every major network — CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, and even Amazon Prime Video — deploy their top announcing talent.
From the familiar voices of veteran greats to the fresh perspectives of recent Super Bowl champions now calling the action, the lineup behind the microphones is as star-studded as the players on the field.
Here are the broadcast teams bringing you all the action for the 2025 Super Wild Card Weekend.

NFL wild card announcers
Rams-Panthers: Joe Davis, Greg Olsen
Davis and Olsen serves as FOX's No. 2 NFL crew, often taking one of the best games of the weekend. For the wild card game, Davis and Olsen will be on the call for Rams vs. Panthers in Carolina, which is the first of six games. Olsen is considered one of the best Panthers of all-time, and he will be in the booth as Carolina plays its first home playoff game since 2015.
Packers-Bears: Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit
Since Amazon Prime became the home for "Thursday Night Football," it's been Michaels and Herbstreit in the booth. A legendary figure in broadcasting, Michaels is renowned for his historical calls, including the "Miracle on Ice" and decades of Monday Night Football and Sunday Night Football. Herbstreit is known as the preeminent voice of college football for ESPN's "College GameDay" and is a color analyst for the biggest games; he made a jump to the NFL in 2022, joining Michaels on Amazon's coverage team.
Bills-Jaguars: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo
The voice of CBS Sports, Nantz is known for his smooth, professional delivery and association with major events, including the Masters, the NCAA Final Four, and the Super Bowl (calling his seventh Super Bowl in 2024). He has been the lead NFL play-by-play voice for CBS since 2004. He is joined by Romo, the former Cowboys quarterback, who started after his retirement in 2017. Nantz and Romo now serve as CBS' A-Team.
49ers-Eagles: Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady
The Sunday matchup in Philadelphia will have Fox's No. 1 crew in the broadcast booth. A veteran broadcaster for Fox, Burkhardt has risen through the ranks, covering NFL, MLB (serving as the lead World Series voice since 2022), and college sports. Next to him is the most decorated player in NFL history in Brady, who began his broadcast career with Fox in 2024.
Chargers-Patriots: Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth
Tirico and Collinsworth are the voices "Sunday Night Football," the most-watched show in primetime television. Tirico took over the lead spot for "Sunday Night Football" in 2022 after spending decades as a premier broadcaster for ESPN and NBC, covering major events like the Olympics. Collinsworth, the former Bengals wide receiver, has won multiple Emmy Awards for Outstanding Sports Analyst and has been the lead analyst for NBC's primetime package since 2009.
Texans-Steelers: Joe Buck, Troy Aikman
The final game of the weekend will be ESPN's "Monday Night Football," which is a newer addition to wild card weekend. Buck and Aikman are one of the most experienced pairings in history, transitioning from Fox to ESPN for "Monday Night Football."
Buck is a broadcasting icon and eight-time Emmy winner, calling six Super Bowls and over 20 World Series. Next to him is Aikman, the Hall of Fame quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. The two have been a pair since 2002, making them the longest-tenured broadcast booth in NFL history.
