The NFC West has proven to be the most difficult division in the NFL this year with three teams in playoff positioning entering Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers all have big aspirations for this season, but only one of them can win the division. The Arizona Cardinals, however, have fallen short in the division so far despite aiming to return to the playoffs.
During Week 10, the NFC West featured solely division battles, as the Rams topped the 49ers and the Seahawks handled the Cardinals. Here's a look at how these results impacted the NFC West standings.

NFC West standings
| Place | Team | Record |
| 1. | Seattle Seahawks | 7-2 |
| 2. | Los Angeles Rams | 7-2 |
| 3. | San Francisco 49ers | 6-4 |
| 4. | Arizona Cardinals | 3-6 |
The Seahawks and Rams won the two NFC West battles on Sunday, keeping them tied for the lead in the division. For now, though, Seattle wins the tiebreak over Los Angeles and has temporary control of first place.
With the loss, the 49ers drop 1.5 games back of the division lead, and with two teams ahead of them, they face an uphill battle to win the division. The Cardinals, meanwhile, drop to 3-6 and headed towards a last-place finish.
