While a championship still eludes Josh Allen, the Bills quarterback is already one of the NFL's great success stories.
Once a little-known quarterback at Wyoming who forced his way into the first round discussion ahead of the 2018 draft, Allen was drafted more for what he could be than what he was at the collegiate level. The Bills bet on Allen's tools, and their development system helped turn him into an MVP.
As long as Allen is under center for the Bills, they believe their Super Bowl window is open — and they continue to pay up to keep him in Buffalo.
Here's what you need to know about Allen's net worth and career earnings.

Josh Allen net worth
Allen has an estimated net worth of $70 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
That figure is sure to rise in the years ahead, as Allen's salary is positioned to continue rising after he signed a massive contract extension in March 2025. Between endorsement deals and a deal that pays him like one of the faces of the NFL, Allen has gone from the son of a quiet family of farmers to someone who can support his family for generations to come.
Allen's wife, singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld, has an estimated net worth of $25 million.

Josh Allen NFL contract details
Allen signed a new six-year, $330 million contract extension with $250 million guaranteed ahead of the 2025 season, replacing what was remaining on the six-year deal he signed in 2021.
At the time of signing, the deal was the second-largest in NFL history in terms of total value, behind only Patrick Mahomes' 10-year pact signed in 2020.
The contract, which runs through 2030, limits Allen's cap hit to $36.3 million in 2025 but comes with cap hits north of $50 million in each of the following three seasons. Allen's cap hit would be an enormous $86.1 million in 2029, though he would likely have restructured the deal or signed a new extension by that point to make the figure more palatable for the Bills.

Josh Allen NFL career earnings
Allen has made $174.6 million in career earnings through the 2024 season, according to Spotrac, and that figure is set to rise to $232.6 million after the 2025 season.
Here's a look at each contract Allen has signed to this point in his NFL career:
- 2018: 4-year, $21.44 million rookie contract
- 2021: 6-year, $258 million extension
- 2025: 6-year, $330 million extension (replaced final four years of previous deal)
By the end of the 2024 season, Allen already ranked 10th in NFL history in career earnings, due largely to the increase in salaries around the league in recent years. Allen is in position to jump further into the top-10 in 2025 and beyond, even as other quarterbacks play out their own mega deals.

While Allen is bringing in plenty of money, he is also putting plenty of it to good use. After fans began donating $17 to Oishei Children's Hospital in honor of Allen's late grandmother, Patricia, in 2020, Allen and his family helped establish The Patricia Allen Fund to support the hospital.
The hospital established a Patricia Allen Pediatric Recovery Wing, and the fund continues to bring in critical donations while Allen makes regular visits to patients at the facility.
In 2025, Allen became the first New Era brand ambassador to also take on an investor role in the company, which is based in Buffalo. Allen Family Farms
Before Allen became an NFL quarterback, he helped out on his family's farm in rural Firebaugh, Calif. He worked alongside his brother to remove weeds and irrigate the farm, which started three generations before him.
The Allen family farm was recently focused on growing and distributing cotton, cantaloupe and wheat, but Allen said on a podcast in 2023 that the farm was transitioning to pistachios as well. 95 percent of U.S. pistachios come from the Central Valley region of California where the Allen family farm is located, and Allen hammered out an endorsement deal with Wonderful Pistachios, which receives some of what the farm grows, in 2025
Allen was a member of Future Farmers of America in high school, but he quickly found that his future was instead in the NFL, where he has become an MVP and the face of a golden era of Bills football.
