"Sunday Night Football" between the Eagles and Lions was a tight affair in the first half, as neither team scored a touchdown until the middle of the second quarter.
That is when Jameson Williams broke off a long catch-and-run to score the Lions' first points of the game. However, Williams' also was part of the reason Detroit only got six points on the play, instead of a full seven.

Jameson Williams unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, explained
Jameson Williams scored the first touchdown of the game against the Eagles, but he still prevented the Lions from securing a full seven points. That's because he committed an unsportsmanlike penalty on the touchdown celebration.
After scoring, Williams hugged the goal post, which the referees penalized.

That resulted in a 15-yard penalty, pushing the extra point try back by 15 yards. Jake Bates went on to miss the attempt, keeping the Lions at six points.
Jameson Williams celebrations
Williams is known for his creative touchdown celebrations, which he claims he doesn't think about until he's about to score. In some instances, the NFL views Williams' celebrations as harmless fun.

In others, though, the league has penalized or fined Williams for excessive celebration.

Jameson Williams didn't run the 40-yard dash in the NFL combine, as he was recovering from a torn ACL at the time. However, Williams believes he could've set a record for the fastest 40-yard dash time in NFL history.
