Jalen Hurts started his collegiate career at the University of Alabama. After winning the 2017 national championship, he decided to stay with the Crimson Tide, but they lost in the national championship to Clemson.

Following the loss and the signs pointing to Tua Tagovailoa once again being the starter, Hurts decided to transfer to Oklahoma for his final season. Despite having dual-threat abilities, he fell to the second round in the 2020 NFL Draft when he was surprisingly selected by the Eagles, who already had Carson Wentz at the time. The move proved prudent as Wentz eventually departed, and Hurts led Philadelphia to a Super Bowl appearance in 2023 before helping the franchise win its second Super Bowl in 2025.

Here is more information on Hurts' net worth, including details about his endorsements and business ventures.

Jalen Hurts NFL contract details

Hurts signed a massive five-year, $255 million extension that kicked in starting with the 2024 season. At the time, he was the highest-paid quarterback of all time. Philadelphia manipulated the money to extend the cap hit with void years until 2032, despite Hurts technically being a free agent in 2029. Void years are a way for teams to stretch the cap hit for mega deals, and it just means that the Eagles will owe the quarterback money for currently four seasons after the life of his current contract.

Nicole Lynn and all-female management team

Hurts' agent is Nicole Lynn. She graduated from Oklahoma's College of Law in 2015. Lynn was the first female sports agent to join PlayersRep and signed her first client at the age of 26. She was the first Black female agent to represent a first-round pick when the Jets took Quinnen Williams in the 2019 NFL Draft.

She told Glamour in 2019, "It’s such an uphill battle to be a sports agent in general, and more difficult being a woman, and I would say two times as difficult being a Black woman and under the age of 30. I never really listened to the noise — and there was a lot of it. I think that is one of the reasons I am where I am.”

Lynn slid into Hurts' DMs after his college career. He said that he signed with her because he felt they shared similar characteristics in how people overlooked them. Hurts told Sports Illustrated in an interview, "I saw that same fire in Nicole. She said, ‘I’m a woman. People are going to overlook me. People are going to doubt me. They’re not going to give me the due respect. But I’m overcoming it, just like you do.’ And that’s where we really hit it off. We had the same vision."

She became the President of Football for Klutch Sports Group in April 2023. Hurts has an all-female management team. In addition to his agent, Hurts also has Chantal Roman for media relations, Shakeemah Simmons-Winter for PR, Rachel Everett for marketing and Jenna Malphrus for management.
