Falcons vs. Colts final score, results: Jonathan Taylor's career day carries Indianapolis to OT win in Berlin image

JUMP TO:

Fans in Berlin who tuned into Sunday's NFL Germany game out of pure curiosity might believe Jonathan Taylor is the most dominant player in the league.

They might be right.

The Indianapolis Colts star was a one-man wrecking crew in a 31-25 overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons, rushing for 244 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning score. Taylor totaled 286 scrimmage yards and unleashed an 83-yard touchdown run, the longest of his career.

The Falcons answered Taylor's explosive touchdown with a statement drive of their own, regaining the lead with under two minutes remaining thanks to Tyler Allgeier's second score of the day, but Atlanta left too much time on the clock for the Colts. A strong return and a critical fourth-down catch by Tyler Warren pushed Indianapolis into field goal range, where Michael Badgley tied the game.

After forcing a three-and-out at the start of overtime, the Colts put the ball back in the hands of Daniel Jones, who put it in the hands of Taylor and let his running back go to work to keep an upstart Indianapolis team at the top of the AFC.

While the Falcons can say they were close to snapping their losing streak, the loss in Berlin likely ends any realistic hope of playoff contention in Atlanta at 3-6.

Falcons vs. Colts updates, highlights from 2025 NFL Germany game

All times ET.

Final: Colts 31, Falcons 25

12:51 p.m. — Who else? The game of Jonathan Taylor's life ends with a game-winning touchdown. Taylor rushes for 244 yards and three touchdowns plus 42 yards through the air in a game that has him back in the MVP conversation. The Colts are 8-2.

12:49 p.m. — An 11-yard run by Taylor makes this what should be an automatic field goal for Badgley. Taylor has 272 scrimmage yards on the day.

12:48 p.m. — Tyler Warren comes up with a terrific grab for 23 yards! The Colts are in the field goal range.

12:46 p.m. — Bradley Pinion's punt was not a very good one, setting up the Colts with strong starting field position needing just a field goal to win.

12:44 p.m. — Zaire Franklin buries Penix and forces a quick Falcons punt. Any Colts points here would win the game for Indianapolis.

12:40 p.m. — After a re-flip of the coin because officials gave the wrong team the choice, the Falcons will start with the ball. Nothing to see here.

End of regulation: Falcons 25, Colts 25

12:36 p.m. — An intentional grounding call backs up the Falcons, who opt for a 10-second runoff that will take us to overtime after some confusion.

12:33 p.m. — The Falcons don't have ideal starting field position, and a bad drop by Darnell Mooney sets them back even further.

12:31 p.m. FIELD GOAL — Badgley's kick is GOOD. This game is tied with 25 seconds on the clock. Let's see if the Falcons can avoid overtime.

12:30 p.m. — The Colts gain back some yardage, and Badgley will come out for a 44-yard try to tie the game with 29 seconds left.

12:29 p.m. — Jones is sacked AGAIN after a high snap. It's 3rd & 16, and Badgley's misses earlier make any field goal a major risk.

12:28 p.m. — Tyler Warren goes up and grabs a pass from Jones to convert and then some! Indianapolis is still alive and in field goal range.

12:27 p.m. — Jones takes off and runs for 19 of those 21 yards! The Colts have a 4th & 2 to keep their hopes alive.

12:26 p.m. — Daniel Jones goes down! Arnold Ebiketie gets to the Colts QB and pushes Indianapolis to 3rd & 21 in their own territory. Danger time for the Colts.

12:25 p.m. — Kaden Elliss breaks up a would-be catch by Tyler Warren, but officials are taking a look to see if Warren did catch the ball.

12:22 p.m. — A huge return by Ameer Abdullah is going to set up the Colts in Falcons territory.

Falcons 25, Colts 22

12:20 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Allgeier is in, and the Falcons lead with 1:44 remaining! The two-point conversion extends Atlanta's lead to three.

12:19 p.m. — It's 1st & Goal for the Falcons after Tyler Allgeier muscles his way to the 1-yard line.

12:15 p.m. — The Falcons are into the red zone after a nice pass to Kyle Pitts. We're headed to the two-minute warning. A touchdown puts Atlanta in front, but clock management will come into play here as well.

12:11 p.m. — Now Drake London is over 100 yards on the day as he picks up a first down. Even after all of the noise and the punts, the Falcons can just march down the field here and take the lead if they play their cards right.

Colts 22, Falcons 17

12:08 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Jonathan Taylor is GONE. The Colts superstar runs 83 yards and puts Indianapolis in front! It's the longest run of his career, and he is up to 210 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

12:04 p.m. — It's not a three-and-out, but the Colts get the Falcons off the field in about two minutes and will get the ball back needing only a field goal to take the lead.

Falcons 17, Colts 16

11:59 a.m. FIELD GOAL — Badgley's kick is good, and this is now a one-point game with nine minutes to go.

11:58 a.m. — Jones is sacked by Brandon Dorlus on third down! Michael Badgley will have to come out and try to trim the Colts' deficit to one.

11:57 a.m. — The Colts break into the red zone but now face 2nd & 16 after a delay of game penalty.

11:54 a.m. — Taylor runs around the pack for 18 yards, and he is now over 1,000 rushing yards on the season.

11:49 a.m. — The Colts bring heavy pressure on back-to-back plays and force Penix to throw it away. Atlanta will have to punt again.

11:44 a.m. — A nice sliding catch by London jumpstarts the Falcons' drive on the final play of the third quarter. London is up to 89 yards and a touchdown today after a huge performance against the Patriots last week.

11:43 a.m. — Taylor will not get there! The Falcons get the stop and take over on downs.

11:42 a.m. — It's fourth down again after Jones takes off and takes a hard hit. The offense is staying on.

11:40 a.m. — The Colts go for it on 4th & 1 near the red zone and easily pick it up on a Taylor run. Taylor is six rushing yards away from 1,000 on the season.

11:37 a.m. — Tyler Warren goes 24 yards and has the Colts well into Falcons territory after Jonathan Taylor set the tone early on this drive. Indianapolis is finding an offensive rhythm again.

11:30 a.m. — Sauce Gardner very nearly had his first interception as a Colt. He should've had it, but he will settle for the three-and-out that puts the ball back in his offense's hands.

11:25 a.m. FUMBLE — This time, the Falcons recover! Jones fumbles for the second time in three plays, and Atlanta is set up with a chance to extend the lead. A huge swing in this game.

11:24 a.m. — A strong return quickly puts the Colts in great position, but Jalon Walker sets Indianapolis back 11 yards by knocking the ball out of Jones' hands. Jones gets back on top of it.

Falcons 17, Colts 13

11:19 a.m. — Zane Gonzalez drills his first field goal as a Falcon and extends Atlanta's lead to four.

11:18 a.m. — Jaylon Jones knocks away a would-be touchdown to Kyle Pitts. That could have been a better throw from Penix, and it'll lead to a field goal attempt.

11:16 a.m. — Kyle Pitts finally makes his presence felt with a 25-yard catch.

11:13 a.m. — Grover Stewart is down and in pain after the first snap of the second half.

End of first half: Falcons 14, Colts 13

10:53 a.m. INTERCEPTION — Jessie Bates picks off Jones on third down! Now it's the Falcons' decision not to call a timeout after the sack that costs them, as they only have eight seconds to work with, but turnover issues come back to haunt Jones again.

10:52 a.m. — Kaden Elliss sacks Jones in a major setback for the Colts. That's Atlanta's second sack of the day, and Indianapolis lets the clock run down to close to 20 seconds.

10:51 a.m. — The Colts have moved close to midfield with 1:17 remaining. With the way Badgley has struggled, they might need some more yardage than they imagined to get into comfortable field goal range.

10:41 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — Penix hits London in stride for the touchdown! The Falcons have the lead back, and London now has four touchdowns in the last six quarters.

10:40 a.m. — Drake London goes for 13 yards and has the Falcons at the edge of the red zone.

10:39 a.m. — Look away, Kyle Pitts fantasy owners: TE Charlie Woerner puts together a nice catch-and-run to put the Falcons in field goal range.

10:34 a.m. — The Colts will have to punt out of their own end zone after a Daniel Jones pass bounces off Alec Pierce's hands. The Falcons are set to have solid field position as they try to take the lead or at least pull closer.

10:30 a.m. — Indianapolis' defense has settled in and forces a second consecutive punt. The Colts' offense will go back to work and try to avoid needing to rely on Badgley.

10:22 a.m. — The Colts are forced to attempt a 53-yard field goal, but Michael Badgley doesn't have the distance. 53 is never a guarantee, but it isn't too common to see those kicks come up short. Indianapolis has left four points on the board today.

10:17 a.m. — Have a day, Alec Pierce. His 26-yard gain has the Colts approaching midfield after starting at their own 2-yard line.

10:09 a.m. — The Colts force a rare punt in this game, though they will be pinned deep in their own territory.

Colts 13, Falcons 7

10:02 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — Alec Pierce goes up and gets a deep shot from Daniel Jones for a touchdown! What a throw and catch for 37 yards and the score. The Colts lead.

10:00 a.m. — There goes Jonathan Taylor on a 22-yard run. He's already six yards away from matching last week's rushing total.

Falcons 7, Colts 6

9:56 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — How's that for an answer by the Falcons? Tyler Allgeier muscles his way into the end zone and gives Atlanta the lead after the Colts' missed extra point.

9:55 a.m. — A pass interference penalty by Mekhi Blackmon will set up the Falcons in the red zone.

9:53 a.m. — Drake London announces his presence with catches of 30 and 13 yards to spark the Falcons' drive.

Colts 6, Falcons 0

9:49 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — Jonathan Taylor punches it in! The Colts take advantage of the turnover and strike first, albeit with a missed extra point.

9:48 a.m. — Ashton Dulin rumbles his way to the one-yard line.

9:46 a.m. FUMBLE — Camryn Bynum slams into Michael Penix Jr. From behind and knocks the ball free! The Colts are on it and are at the edge of the red zone.

9:45 a.m. — Kyle Pitts with a bad drop on first down, preventing a big gain.

9:44 a.m. — Bijan Robinson runs for 16 yards on the Falcons' first offensive play. He needed that one after struggling with efficiency the last two weeks.

9:41 a.m. — After a hot offensive start, the Colts go for it on 4th & 2 and can't convert. Dee Alford breaks up a pass from Jones, and the Falcons will take over.

9:38 a.m. — Tanor Bartolini rescues the Colts, jumping on a fumble by Jonathan Taylor after about a 15-yard gain. Despite the scare, Indianapolis is past midfield.

9:37 a.m. — Alec Pierce picks up a quick first down for Indianapolis.
