Russell Wilson family tree: Meet singer and actress wife Ciara, four children, parents and more image

Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, are one of the great power couples in the NFL, if not all of sports.

While it's tough to match Wilson's Super Bowl ring and stellar career with the Seahawks, Ciara has a tremendous music and acting career of her own. The two support each other at every turn.

There is much more to Wilson's family, including his parents, siblings and four children.

Here's a closer look at the Giants quarterback's family and where Wilson is originally from.

Russell Wilson wife: Ciara

Wilson met Ciara in 2015, and the two wed in July 2016 after getting engaged four months earlier. Ciara is Wilson's second wife; he was married to a woman named Ashton from 2012 until their 2014 divorce. Ciara, while never married, was briefly engaged to rapper Future until they broke off their relationship in 2014. Ciara has one son from her relationship with Future.

"I met my Boo back in 2015. I’ll never forget the day that he and I met. It’s like, when you know, you know," Ciara told Sports Illustrated in 2022.

Wilson and Ciara met at Wisconsin men's basketball's Sweet 16 win over North Carolina on March 26, 2015. For Wilson — who attended both Wisconsin and North Carolina rival NC State — the night was memorable for a number of reasons.

Wilson said in 2025 that he planned on staying single for a long time after his divorce, but meeting Ciara changed his plans. "I was like, I'm going to be single for 10 years," he said. “[Ciara] came, just changed everything."

Music and acting career

Ciara has been a musician for nearly a quarter-century, rising to fame in the mid-2000s with songs such as "1, 2 step" and "Oh." She has released eight studio albums, including a 2025 release that marked her first in six years.

Ciara won a Grammy Award in 2006 after being featured on Missy Elliott's song, "Lose Control," also winning two MTV Video Music Awards for the song. Ciara was named Billboard Music Awards' Woman of the Year in 2008.

Outside of music, Ciara has made four on-screen movie appearances. She had a role in 2023 film "The Color Purple," which was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award, and she starred in the 2012 film, "Mama, I Want to Sing!"

Russell Wilson children

Wilson has three children and a stepson with Ciara.

Sienna Princess Wilson

Wilson's oldest daughter, Sienna, was born in April 2017. Ciara announced Sienna's birth in an Instagram post captioned, "No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm."

Sienna has started to make public appearances with Ciara, appearing on the red carpet at the Black Women in Business dinner in June 2025.

Win Harrison Wilson

Wilson's son, Win, was born in July 2020. Win's middle name pays tribute to Wilson's father, Harrison.

As for Win's first name, Ciara revealed that Russell unsurprisingly had the idea.

"There was a lot of love and thought put into it. Russ, we would talk about names, and Russ kind of always had this name Win in the rotation, years ago, before we knew we were having a girl," she told ET. "He had all the good names and Win won."

By the time Win was born, his father had done plenty of winning. In fact, Russell had never posted a losing record in eight seasons in the NFL by that point, carrying an 86-41 record with seven playoff appearances.

Amora Princess Wilson

Wilson and Ciara welcomed another child in 2023, when daughter Amora was born.

Amora is part of a family that has an extremely close bond. Ciara revealed after Amora was born that her young siblings embraced her. "They love holding her. They actually fight over her in a sweet way," Ciara said." She is so loved, and she is so ready for the world already.

Future Zahir

Wilson's stepson, Future Zahir, is the son of Ciara and rapper Future. The two were engaged in 2014 before breaking off their relationship.

The younger Future was only nine months old when he met Wilson, so Wilson has been able to raise him as if he were one of his biological children.

"They’re your own blood in a way," Wilson said of stepchildren in a 2021 GQ profile. "You get to love them that way. And I think every kid deserves that and needs that and yearns for that."

While the rapper Future gave Wilson and Ciara a hard time over the arrangement involving his son, Wilson told GQ that it never made parenting his stepson more difficult. "I think it was easy for us. I think it was about us. It wasn’t about anything else," he said.

Russell Wilson dad: Harrison Wilson III

Wilson's father, Harrison, died at age 55 in 2010 after suffering from diabetes.

Before health issues overcame him later in life, Harrison was a standout wide receiver at Dartmouth. He played wide receiver and special teams for Dartmouth's football team until his graduation in 1977. He also played baseball at the Ivy League school, before getting a law degree from the University of Virginia.

Three years after graduating and entering the workforce, Harrison attempted to break into the NFL. He secured a tryout with the Chargers as a wide receiver and made it to the final round before falling short. While he didn't know it at the time of his death, Harrison's emphasis on education while raising his children — along with his athletic genes — helped produce a Super Bowl-winning NFL quarterback.

Harrison chose his own path, sometimes to a fault. "He didn't really listen to anybody, only maybe a select few," Russell's brother, Harry, told ESPN in 2020.

Russell frequently pays tribute to his father and points to his "why not you" mentality as part of what motivated him to be the best athlete he could be.

"He used to always ask me the question, 'Son, why not you? Why don't you play pro baseball? Why don't you play pro football?' Russell told ESPN. "The idea of 'Why not you?' was really at the center of who I was. I started really subconsciously and consciously asking myself that question."

Harrison died one day after his son was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the fourth round of the MLB Draft. Russell called his father's death "one of the hardest days of my life" and credited the Rockies for helping him through the emotions.

While Russell didn't pursue baseball after the Seahawks drafted him two years later, he fulfilled his father's prediction that he could do anything he wanted.

Russell Wilson mom: Tammy Wilson

Wilson's mother, Tammy, was married to Harrison and had three children, including Russell.

Tammy has made a career as a nurse, working in Virginia in both Richmond and Charlottesville before joining her son in Seattle and working at the University of Washington. She is also a devout Christian and frequently posts prayers and scripture passages on social media.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, Tammy helped organize temporary care centers to deal with the influx of patients.

"My mom is in Seattle right now and she's helping build, basically these portable hospitals in a way, in and around the community in Seattle so people can check for coronavirus and everything else," Russell told NBC's Mike Tirico

Wilson's younger sister, Anna, played basketball for six seasons at Stanford. She started each game she played during the Cardinal's national championship 2020-21 season, averaging a career-high 3.7 rebounds per game in addition to 4.6 points per game.

Anna holds the record for most games played in the history of Stanford women's basketball and earned two Pac-12 All-Defensive selections. She wasn't selected in the 2022 WNBA Draft, however.

Anna lists herself as a director for Haddad Brands, a New York-based company that serves as the licensee for several major clothing brands, including Nike, Jordan and Converse.

Wilson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He played high school football at Collegiate School in Richmond before heading south to start his college career at NC State.

Wilson's career has taken him everywhere he isn't from.
