While no one involved in the accident was transported by emergency medical personnel, the Panthers announced Horn would be held out of Wednesday's practice with the Browns.

Horn did not participate but was on hand for practice as an observer, a positive sign that no serious injuries were sustained.

After practice, Horn took to social media to post an encouraging message, calling the accident "(Nothing) major thank (God)," on X.

Horn needed eight stitches in his left thumb following the accident, per Panthers head coach Dave Canales. He has been ruled out of Carolina's Week 1 preseason matchup with Cleveland.

The accident comes just months after Horn's four-year $100 million extension with the franchise. The former top-10 pick appeared in a career-high 15 games during the 2024 season, proving his place as a premier CB by earning the first Pro Bowl selection of his four-year career.

Horn will miss the preseason opener against Cleveland on Friday, Aug. 8, in question, but the outlook for the Panthers' Week 1 date with the Jaguars remains positive.
