Allen threw only six interceptions on his way to his first MVP award in 2024, but he has already exceeded that mark in 2025 after a pair of first-half picks against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Turnovers bit Allen in 2023, when he threw a career-worst 18 interceptions even as the Bills won the AFC East, but there isn't much room for effort this time around with the New England Patriots boasting a decisive lead atop the division.

Allen turned the ball over twice for the second consecutive week in Week 11, tossing two interceptions in the first half against the Buccaneers.

Jacob Parrish's interception deep in Bills territory marked Allen's initial turnover of the day, but Tampa Bay could only manage a field goal from the opportunity.

Allen's second interception was tipped, but it seemed to be touched by The Buccaneers first. SirVocea Dennis secured the ball, yet the Bills' defense compelled a punt during the subsequent Buccaneers possession.

Allen previously threw an interception and lost a fumble in a Week 10 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Sunday saw Allen's second game with multiple interceptions this season, following two picks in Buffalo's prime-time defeat against the Falcons during Week 6. This loss was the Bills' second in a row, part of a three-loss span over five games.

Allen's seventh interception of the season, which occurred against the Buccaneers, surpassed his 2024 total. However, 2024 was an unusual year. From 2020 to 2023, Allen threw double-digit interceptions annually, averaging over 14 each season. The Bills could tolerate turnovers when they were winning, but after losing three of their last five games, they might need to reduce them.
