Victor Wembanyama injury: Spurs fans blame Warriors' Brandin Podziemski amid fresh evidence image

The San Antonio Spurs community is in rage as Victor Wembanyama got injured during the Warriors game.

Someone has to take the heat as Spurs sidelined their star center indefinitely after an MRI test. Critics are constantly zeroing in on one specific Warriors guard as the possible culprit.

Fans connect Brandin Podziemski’s play to Wembanyama's injury

Wembanyama was having a standout season, but his smooth run hit a roadblock after he was demoted from questionable to out due to a left calf strain. The 7-foot-4 star is expected to miss multiple weeks at a crucial point for the Spurs.

On social media, fans are debating how it happened and who’s responsible, with one netizen probably finding out the culprit.

He kicked off a firestorm by dropping evidence that showed Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski making serious contact with Wembanyama's legs during the game. He didn't pull any punches, penning, "Is this the m———– responsible for Wemby's injury?

The X user framed his rant as a question, but the tone of the tweet made his anger and intent pretty straightforward.

From there, the comment section became a courtroom. One frustrated fan wrote, "I've lost so much respect for Kerr between Demon & now this little s— Podz! I really hope the Spurs org is keeping up with this abuse on their star player! This is such a clear flagrant foul or double tech."

Another added, "No surprise, talentless Podz trying to take out a promising player."

"That looked like Podz had intent ……😳😳😳😳😳😳😳🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔," the third claimed.

Some folks connected Wembanyama's injury to the Warriors' physical play, pointing to his ongoing clashes with Draymond Green. The two exchanged elite trash talk through the entire match and nearly started a fight on the court. Thanks to the teammates for reacting fast before it turned into a brawl.

For some observers, that dust-up was proof the Warriors were playing dirty all night, targeting the league's most unique talent.

The Spurs sit at 9-4 start, their best in franchise history, largely thanks to Wembanyama’s on-court impact. That’s why the Spurs community is furious about losing their star center for the upcoming games.

However, Wemby also had a minor hand clash with Stephen Curry. So, some Warriors supporters might view it as a simple tit-for-tat.
