Lakers' LeBron James dunks on Brian Windhorst with savage message image

LeBron James is very proud of his podcast.

So proud, in fact, that the Los Angeles Lakers superstar decided to dunk on the reporter that has covered him the longest, Brian Windhorst.

The Mind the Game podcast's social media team put out a video on Tuesday showing ESPN's Brian Windhorst saying that people wouldn't want to listen to a podcast that just discusses basketball strategy. The post overlays those comments with the strong rankings Mind the Game has on podcast charts.

LeBron then shared that post with his own thoughts:

The King really has a way of being funny when he wants to be.

There are lots of reasons the podcast works, of course, that wouldn't necessarily apply for just anyone talking about what James and Steve Nash talk about.

They're brilliant basketball minds who have seen everything the game has to offer.

There's also the simple fact that LeBron would draw more in a scenario like this than pretty much anyone else. Without James, it's a lesser podcast, even if the analysis is just as good.

Fans also appreciate in this modern era the chance to get to see a bit more personality of the players they watch on television every night, and James does a good job of letting his natural self shine through on the podcast.

He may have shared the same sentiment no matter whose comments were shown in the hype video for the podcast, but it's extra interesting that it's Windhorst.
