The leading scorer in the second-best basketball league on the planet used to be a Boston Celtics guard.

The competition is the EuroLeague, the continental battle between Europe's top teams from different countries.

The player? Carsen Edwards, the former Purdue Boilermaker.

Edwards spent his first two NBA seasons with Boston, averaging 3.6 points per game, before a short stint with the Pistons.

He's been out of the NBA since the end of the 2021-22 season.

This year in Europe, Edwards suited up for Bayern Munich, the German powerhouse.

With Bayern, Edwards dropped 20.4 points per game in the 40-minute EuroLeague contests. He also added 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Edwards was once the 33rd pick in the NBA Draft by the 76ers before quickly being moved on to Boston.

He's a legend back at Purdue, where he was a dominant force in the NCAA Tournament.

Edwards was always a bit too small for some folks' liking, but he's always been able to get buckets.

At 27, Edwards could be at a prime time to return to the NBA, if that's something he's interested in.
