The land down under has become a regular stop on the UFC's calendar in recent years.

While the promotion's 2026 schedule is yet to be officially revealed, top-ranked middleweight contender Caio Borralho has indicated that a trip back to Australia may be in the works for the very near future.

"I heard there’s a card in Australia on February 2026," Borralho wrote on his X account.

The UFC was in Australia just three weekends ago for a Fight Night card in Perth that was headlined by New Zealand's Carlos Ulberg.

Ulberg scored a spectacular first-round knockout over former title challenger Dominick Reyes, all but assuring him the next shot at the 205-pound belt.

In his short social media post, Borralho didn't elaborate on many details about the rumoured card; he did however make a call out that is sure to have Aussie fans salivating.

"@robwhittakermma what do you think about a dance in your hometown?"

Whether the UFC's next event on Australian soil ends up being a pay-per-view or a Fight Night card offering, a matchup between Borralho and Robert Whittaker would make for a blockbuster showcase.

Whittaker last fought in July, dropping a split-decision to Reinier De Ridder in Abu Dhabi. That made it two losses on the trot for 'The Reaper,' who would be keen to turn his fortunes around in his own backyard.

The last time Australian spectators had the opportunity to watch Whittaker locally was at UFC 243 back in 2019 in front of a packed-out Marvel Stadium.

If Borralho truly does have his finger on the pulse in regard to the UFC's scheduling, a home show in the first quarter of 2026 will be must-see for Aussie mixed martial arts fans.
