Jack Della Maddalena is preparing for the biggest fight of his career at UFC 322.
Australia's own UFC welterweight champion will face No. 2 pound-for-pound Islam Makhachev at Madison Square Garden.
The Dagestani fighting system has taken over the sport in recent years, with Makhachev being a disciple of the legendary Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov - father of Khabib.
One man who is all too familiar with that family and their dominant grappling skillset is Irish superstar Conor McGregor.
In a video posted to his Instagram, jiu jitsu coach and noted internet troll Craig Jones, shared what he purported to be a message from McGregor himself to Della Maddalena.

"He will be light work at this weight," the alleged message read.
"No finishing capability or positional awareness whatsoever. He is a back pack at best. Nothing to fear. Fear not!
"Patience, fitness, and ferocity, and he is sparked unconscious inside the 5 [rounds]."
There is no love lost between the McGregor and Makhachev camps; and with Jones being in the corner for both Volkanovski/Makhachev fights, as well as coaching Della Maddalena for next month's matchup, he seems like the perfect conduit to deliver that message.
