On Monday night, it was announced that the Texas Rangers will not be renewing Bruce Bochy's contract. His three-year deal expired, and this organization is going to head in a different direction in the dugout.
Bochy is 70 years old, and he led this franchise to its lone World Series title in 2023 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Texas will be trying to find a new manager to lead the way for this team for the future. If Bochy decides to not take a front office role with the Rangers, where could he potentially manage for next season and beyond?
San Francisco Giants
The San Francisco Giants fired Bob Melvin as manager on Monday after just two seasons. With Buster Posey being in the front office for San Francisco, he is probably going to want a big name to lead the way. Bochy has managed the Giants before from 2007 to 2019. He won three World Series titles with San Francisco in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
Posey is very familiar with him. It would not be a surprise if they reunited with each other this offseason.
Baltimore Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles underachieved during the 2025 season after making the playoffs the last two seasons. Baltimore is a team that has a ton of offensive talent on the roster, but they need pitching. If this organization is serious about winning a World Series title soon, Bochy would be a perfect fit for this team.
This organization should be a team that is a contender for a while. Mike Elias kept the door open in bringing back Tony Mansolino. With that being said, Bochy would be a major upgrade in the dugout over him.
Atlanta Braves
Brad Snitker for now is still the Atlanta Braves manager, but there is a chance that they could move on from him. If Atlanta were to make that move, there is a chance that they may not rebuild and would want to contend again next season.
Bochy would be a great hire for the Braves if they want to be contenders again. Atlanta just might need a new voice in the dugout. The franchise needs to figure out what direction it wants to head in his offseason.
