The incident occurred in just the fourth minute, with Storm centre Curtis Scott offloading to winger Josh Addo-Carr.

The ball appeared to travel forward out of Scott's hands, before Addo-Carr regathered and scored in the corner.

The touch judge said it went forward, but referee Ben Cummins overruled him, saying the ball touched Eels winger Kirisome Auva'a before Addo-Carr caught it.

Social media was pretty animated after the decision.
