The forward, who retired from the NRL in 2011, suffered a neck injury on Saturday afternoon at the Legend of League competition on the Central Coast.

Playing for Brisbane against Newcastle, Meyers reportedly felt and heard a crack in his neck during an inadvertent crusher-like tackle with play halted for several minutes as he was stretchered from the field in a neck brace.

The former Australian and Queensland representative reportedly still had full feeling in his hands and feet as we taken into the care of a waiting ambulance.
