How many Ryder Cup has Scottie Scheffler played in?

Scheffler made his Ryder Cup debut in 2021 and returned to compete in 2023. The 2025 Ryder Cup will mark Scheffler's third appearance representing Team USA in the event, which is held every two years.

Scheffler was a captain's pick before he ever won a major championship, and he rewarded Steve Stricker's confidence by going 2-0-1 in his matches while helping push the U.S. to a championship. He built on that momentum when he won the Masters in 2022, and all he has done since is add wins to his young legacy.

2021

Scheffler didn't lose any of his three matches in his Ryder Cup debut, defeating Jon Rahm in a singles match just three months after Rahm's U.S. Open win and notching one win and one tie in four-ball matches.

In four-ball, Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau tied Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton on Friday before defeating Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland for a full point on Saturday.

2023

Scheffler found less success at the 2023 Ryder Cup despite his status as one of the world's best golfers, failing to record a win in any of his four matches.

Scheffler and Sam Burns dropped a foursomes matchup against Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton on Friday. Later in the day, Scheffler and Brooks Koepka tied Rahm and Nicolai Højgaard in a four-ball matchup, earning a half-point.

Foursomes gave Scheffler and Koepka more trouble on Saturday, as the pair suffered a loss against Ludvig Aberg and Hovland.

Scheffler tied his singles match with Rahm on Sunday, one of two ties among the 12 singles matches, but it wasn't enough to push the United States to a win. Europe won with 16.5 points, avenging its 2021 defeat.
