Tottenham have recently brought in new head coach Thomas Frank and signed Mathys Tel on a permanent transfer. The club is looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new Premier League season and a surprising Champions League spot.

Frank will need to bring in several players to give the team a better chance to compete in both the Premier League and Champions League. The north London side has been linked with multiple players this sumer, including a number of attacking options.

Who is Tottenham interested in signing?

According to French outlet L'Equipe, Tottenham are ready to start talks with Rennes over Arnaud Kalimuendo. Frank appears to be keen on strengthening his attack, with the signing of Tel and now his interest in Kalimuendo.

The Rennes striker registered 18 goals and three assists in all competitions this season. His numbers could boost Tottenham's potential for goals, as the team has struggled to find an outright striker capable of scoring in double-digit figures.

The Frenchman has caught the eye of multiple teams, including Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle. Tottenham appear to be the first team to pursue talks with Rennes, which provides Frank with a significant boost on what could be his second signing.

While the 23-year-old doesn't come with years of experience, he has all the right qualities to be Tottenham's next prolific striker. He is instinctive in the box and will help to lessen the burden on Son Heung-min, should the midfielder stay in London.

Kalimuendo's contract doesn't run out until 2027, which gives Rennes the chance to set their asking price at a significant figure. The striker is in demand, and that could also see him sold at a high price.
