Real Madrid have reportedly signed two new contracts but are keeping them under wraps for now.

There will be no official statement from the Club and they will announce the news around Christmas or at the end of the season.

This is to avoid distractions and keep full focus during a key period of the campaign.

According to the Defensa Central the two players are Moroccan forward Brahim Diaz and Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Diaz has signed until 2030, Courtois until 2027.

The Club’s leadership believes discretion is key, especially with Xabi Alonso preparing his team for their Champions League debut. With the international break just concluded, concentration levels are seen as critical.

Madrid’s domestic form adds to this policy with Alonso’s men having won three straight in the league, looking more cohesive than in the Club World Cup in July when a heavy semifinal defeat to Paris Saint-Germain ended his first major competition.

According to Florentino Perez, the extensions are key to Madrid’s future on and off the pitch.

Courtois played 53 games last season where he conceded 63 goals and kept 17 clean sheets, Diaz meanwhile played 56 games, scoring 6 goals and 8 assists and was a game changer from the bench.
