Real Madrid were busy during the transfer window, taking steps to prevent Barcelona from retaining the La Liga title.

Xabi Alonso was also working behind the scenes to secure extensions for multiple players that he considers key to the success of his squad.

Ferland Mendy has signed a new contract, although it's yet to be announced officially.

Two more players are following in the footsteps of Mendy, with a veteran and a younger star cementing more years with Real.

Which players have agreed contract extensions with Real?

According to Fabrizio Romano, Thibaut Courtois and Brahim Diaz have both accepted contract extensions with Real.

Courtois has been a staple in goal for Real, with the Belgian keeper running out of contract in 2026.

Romano has reported that Courtois has agreed to a one-year extension with Real.

The papers haven't been signed yet, but all parties have agreed to the extension.

Brahim is under contract until 2027, but Alonso and Real's hierarchy have been impressed by the 26-year-old.

The Moroccan was linked with multiple other European clubs during the summer transfer window, but Brahim only had eyes for Real.

Brahim has signed his extension, and all that remains is the official club announcement.
