Late last night, Nottingham Forest announced the somewhat expected news that Nuno Espirito Santo had been sacked.
This was no surprise, as there has been tension between the manager and the club's owner, Evangelos Marinakis.
The friction stemmed from a confrontation on the pitch after a Premier League game last season. Nuno had also revealed in a press conference that he was no longer close to Marinakis.
There were also reports of a fallout between Nuno and Forest's new head of football, Edu Gaspar.
Forest has moved quickly to announce Nuno's successor, the former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou.

Forest are in the Europa League this season, which is a competition that Postecoglou won with Tottenham last season.
Despite the European success, Postecoglou lost his job with Spurs due to a poor 17th-place Premier League finish.
The North London side did have bad luck on the injury side last season, which meant that Postecoglou went all in on the Europa League.
Forest will be hoping that Postecoglou can emulate his success in Europe with them.
Nuno guided Forest to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League last season, but ultimately came up short in a campaign where they had hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
If you win the Europa League, then you qualify for the Champions League. Forest will see this as their best chance of playing in European football's top competition.
