The Matildas host New Zealand in the second of two international friendlies on Tuesday, December 2 in Adelaide.
The two-match series is the final hit-out for the Matildas before next year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 which also doubles as Asia’s qualification pathway to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Looking to bounce back following a disappointing loss to European champions England last month, the Matildas took control of the first match against the Kiwis last Friday night in Gosford, running out 5-0 winners.
Going into the second clash it will be interesting what lineup head coach Joe Montemurro selects with all eyes on superstar Sam Kerr who was an unused substitute in Gosford.
