The FA Cup is one of the oldest knockout football competitions in the world, and thusly one of the most prestigious trophies in Europe.
In its 145th edition for the 2025/26 season, 747 teams enter the competition, with 655 contesting qualification before 124 enter in the competition proper.

Defending champions Crystal Palace won their first ever major trophy by lifting the FA Cup last season, and hope to prove it was not a fluke by progressing deep into the competition once again in the 2025/26 campaign.

Nine Entertainment, who own the rights to the Premier League, also secured the exclusive broadcast rights to the 2025/26 FA Cup in Australia.
All matches will be available on their premium streaming service Stan Sport, from the third round proper all the way up through the final in the early morning hours of May 17 from Wembley Stadium.
Some select matches may be televised on Channel 9 or their family of networks, but plans for that have not yet been announced.
