England are set to face Wales in an upcoming friendly match on October 9 at Wembley Stadium ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifier next week.
The Three Lions can officially book their spot in the 2026 World Cup in their qualification match against Latvia on October 14.
However, ahead of the crucial game, England have been dealt a blow with their captain, Harry Kane, sustaining an ankle injury.
The 32-year-old striker picked up the knock after scoring in Bayern Munich's 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on October 4 and was subbed off in the 85th minute.
Now, according to a report by The Independent, Kane was not a part of the training with the rest of the England squad and instead performed his own routine indoors along with Bayer Leverkusen's Jarell Quansah.
While the injury is not deemed to be a serious one, there is major doubt about Kane's availability for the game against Wales.

What did England captain Harry Kane say about his injury?
Speaking after Bayern's Bundesliga win last weekend, Kane assured that despite the knock, there is 'no problem for the national team,' and told reporters,
"I am recovering at the moment. I took a knock. A few days and then I should be fine, so no problem for the national team. I will be there on Monday," as per GOAL.
It remains to be seen if Kane is able to feature in Thomas Tuchel's squad on Tuesday and lead England to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, set to be hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
