Two heavyweights of the confederation clash in the semifinals of the continental championship as Nigeria meet host nation Morocco in the final four of AFCON 2025.
Neither side has suffered defeat at this tournament yet, with Nigeria winning all five matches while Morocco have won four and drawn one.
The two sides have been amongst the best in the tournament to earn their place in the semifinals. Nigeria have scored 14 goals through five matches, more than any other team at AFCON. Morocco, meanwhile, have the tournament's top goal scorer in Brahim Diaz, whose five goals are one more than the four for Victor Osimhen.
These two teams have split 10 all-time meetings nearly even, with Nigeria winning four while Morocco have won six. They do have a perfectly even split over the last six, alternating wins and losses with Morocco having won the most recent by a 4-0 score in the 2018 CHAN final.

Nigeria vs. Morocco live updates, highlights from AFCON 2025
2 hours to kickoff: If Nigeria are going to pull off a win in this match, they will need to break a number of trends.
First and foremost, Morocco are on a 22-match unbeaten run across all competitions. Even more incredible, they have not lost a competitive match on home soil since 2009, a run which spans 23 games on home soil.
At this tournament in particular, Morocco have conceded just a single goal across their five matches, coming in the 1-1 draw with Mali in group stage play where the Fennec Foxes still outshot their opponents 15-5 and racked up a 2.81-0.91 xG advantage.

Nigeria vs. Morocco lineups, team news
The Super Eagles are largely in good health, but will need to check on right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel who limped off late in the quarterfinal match and could need some recovery.
There was good news for captain Wilfred Ndidi who exited the quarterfinal match with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, but tests have reportedly shown it is not too serious. He will still miss the match, as he triggered a yellow card suspension last match while taking too long to exit the field of play.
Nigeria projected starting lineup (4-4-2 diamond): Nwabali (GK) — Osayi-Samuel, Ajayi, Bassey, Onyemaechi — Onyeka, Onyedika, Lookman, Iwobi — Osimhen, Adams.

Like Nigeria, Morocco are also in a very good place from a fitness perspective.
There were no injury concerns following the win over Cameroon, with only Azzedine Ounahi missing from the squad after suffering a calf injury in the final group match that will keep the Girona man out of action for over a month.
Morocco projected starting lineup (4-3-3): Bounou (GK) — Hakimi, Aguerd, Masina, Mazraoui — El Khannouss, El Aynaoui, Saibari — B. Diaz, El Kaabi, Ezzalzouli.
