The Premier League title has already been decided, but that won't take away from first against second as champions Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday.

The Reds have already been crowned as 2024/25 title winners and will be motivated to further legitimise their mantle after drawing with the Gunners at Emirates Stadium back in late October.

For Arsenal, the stakes of this match are much more tangible. The Gunners have not yet mathematically confirmed their place in the 2025/26 Champions League, and now that they are out of the European competition after semifinal elimination midweek, league placement is their only pathway back to the tournament next season.

Sitting on 67 points with three matches to go, Arsenal begin this matchday four points above fifth-placed Chelsea, who occupy the final Champions League position, and six points clear of Nottingham Forest in sixth. While it would take a remarkable late-season collapse to see the Gunners fail to qualify, they will want to make sure the business is completed soon to avoid doubt creeping in.

The Sporting News runs through the latest team news and injury updates for both sides.

Liverpool are almost fully fit at this point in the season, as only Joe Gomez is struggling with any kind of known injury concern.

However, with the Premier League title already confirmed and nothing tangible left to play for this season, Arne Slot has been rotating his squad every match, so it's hard to tell who will get a rest this time.

Those rotated for the defeat to Chelsea last time out, such as Luis DiazIbrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai, return to the XI. Slot also confirmed that Conor Bradley would start and the outgoing Trent Alexander-Arnold is only on the bench.

Liverpool predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Alisson (GK) — Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson — Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Jones — Salah, Gakpo, Diaz

Liverpool subs: Kelleher (GK), Endo, Nunez, Mac Allister, Elliott, Jota, Tsimikas, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah

Injured: Gomez (hamstring)
Suspended: None

Arsenal are nearly as healthy as they're going to get at this point in the season, and with a Champions League place for 2025/26 still not fully confirmed, there's no rest for the weary.

Declan Rice and Jorginho were surprise absentees from the matchday squad. Mikel Merino slots into his natural position in midfield, with Leandro Trossard up front.

Long-term absentees GabrielTakehiro Tomiyasu, and Gabriel Jesus remain out

Kai Havertz also miss this game, but Mikel Arteta has claimed the Germany international may find his way back into the squad at some point towards the end of the season.

Arsenal predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Raya (GK) — White, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly — Odegaard, Partey, Merino — Saka, Trossard, Martinelli

Arsenal subs: Neto (GK), Tierney, Timber, Zinchenko, Sterling, Calafiori, Butler-Oyedeji, Henry-Franics, Nwaneri

Injured: Havertz (hamstring), Gabriel (hamstring), Jesus (knee)
Suspended: None
