LEAKED: Is this the new Socceroos World Cup jersey? image

Renowned for leaking the design of major sports jerseys ahead of their official release, Footy Headlines has caused a stir by publishing what it says will be the Socceroos alternate or ‘away’ jersey for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The controversial pastel design by Nike represents a major departure from Australia’s previous away strips, featuring a two-tone gradient transitioning from coral-pink at the neck and shoulders to teal green at the bottom.

Australia’s most recent away strip, worn in the Socceroo’s 3-0 loss to Colombia in November, was very different—dark green with light green trim.

According to Footy Headlines the new away jersey includes a rounded crew-neck collar with teal detailing, a white Nike Swoosh on the right chest and an all-white Australian coat of arms.

It says the new away strip will be available for fans to buy in March 2026, along with a more traditional gold ‘home’ jersey with dark green trim.

As yet there has been no official confirmation, or denial, on the leaked jersey design from Football Australia.
