Inter Miami are making their tournament debut at 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as part of an expanded competition in the USA.
The MLS side's qualification for the finals was confirmed in October 2024 following a FIFA update on the spot reserved for the host nation.
One place was held back for a team from the United States, which FIFA opted to award to Inter Miami for winning the 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield, the trophy given to the team with the best regular-season record.
Lionel Messi leads Inter Miami into the competition he won three times at Barcelona in 2009, 2011 and 2015.

Inter Miami were in pot four for the Club World Cup draw on Thursday, December 5, 2024. They received arguably a kind draw in Group A, although they still faced a huge task to qualify for the knockouts.

Where will Inter Miami play their 2025 Club World Cup games?
Group Stage
Inter Miami's opening match against Al Ahly, and their third group game against Palmeiras were slated for Miami Gardens at Hard Rock Stadium.
Their second group game against Porto sees them head north to Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Knockout Stage
Inter Miami's impressive group-stage campaign saw them finish as runners-up in Group A, behind Palmeiras on goal difference.
That set up a mouthwatering Round of 16 clash with Messi's former club Paris Saint-Germain at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on June 29.
If Inter secure what would be a seismic upset win over the European champions, they would return to the same stadium for a quarterfinal on July 5.
Both semifinals and final take place at MetLife Stadium.
