Bayern Munich were desperate to sign a few attacking reinforcements on deadline day of the summer transfer window, but they only managed to end up with Nicolas Jackson on loan.
They were pushing for another winger on deadline day as they explored multiple options including the likes of Harvey Elliott, Ademola Lookman and former Manchester United star Antony.
The Brazilian, who had been training alone after falling out of favour with manager Ruben Amorim, moved to his favoured destination Real Betis after sealing a permanent move worth €25m ($29m) transfer fee.
Interestingly it was an emotional moment for the Brazilian after he completed his move to Betis as he also revealed Bayern Munich interest right before his move to Spain.
The 25-year-old made a big money move from Ajax to Manchester United for €95m back in 2022 but he never really got going at Old Trafford.
He eventually found his feet last season on loan at Betis and hence wanted to return to La Liga this summer.

What did Antony say about Bayern Munich's approach?
As per several reports, as many as five clubs were interested in Antony on deadline day and one of them was Bayern Munich as they eagerly pushed for a wide player after securing Jackson.

"I spoke to Bayern Munich the day before everything was done with Betis," Antony told in an interaction with El Partidazo de COPE.
"I don’t know if it was €7m. But when I spoke with them, I said I gave my word to Betis, and that everything was 95% finalized, and I'll stick to my word.
"Out of respect, affection, and knowing that I'm happy here. I feel calm about making this decision with all due respect to Bayern Munich, a top three club in the world. I don't know what will happen in the future."
Antony managed nine goals and five assists in 26 appearances for Real Betis last season on loan and the fans will expect him to replicate similar form this season following a lukewarm start in La Liga.
