Bayern Munich have somewhat saved their summer transfer window with the loan move of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea as they desperately needed reinforcements in attack.

The Bavarians have a comparatively thin roster with only around 23 players heading into a crucial 2025/26 campaign where they will be expected to compete in all competitions including the Champions League

Despite all the signings and sales, one player who has stood out from the rest has to be Michael Olise, who was easily one of the most consistent performers for the German Champions last season.

The France international has adapted to the Bundesliga with aplomb as he returned with 20 goals and 20 assists from 55 appearances last season across competitions.

Olise along with Harry Kane holds the key for Bayern Munich as they aim to scale greater heights this season.

In a recent interview, Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry couldn't stop praising the 23-year-old winger as he labelled him as one of the best players in the world right now.

"He has enormous potential and is one of the best players in the world right now," Gnabry told BILD about Olise. "I don't know where his limit is. Michael can achieve everything."

"He can play centrally, keep the ball, and is a good 1v1 player. I didn't know him that well [before he joined] and didn't expect things to work like this. Maybe it doesn't seem that way sometimes, given the way he presents himself, but he has a very good mindset. Michael works hard, he's a very good guy, very determined. That's why I think he still has a lot of potential."

What did Serge Gnabry say about his future at Bayern Munich?

While Olise has continued his exceptional form from last season to this one with three goals, Gnabry has also stepped up in Jamal Musiala's absence in attack.

The Germany international, who was once a topic of sale during this summer has suddenly become a crucial player for Kompany.

Speaking about his future, Gnabry is happy and didn't see himself as a candidate who would be sold this summer.

"It's open. There haven't been any [contract] talks yet, so I'm not thinking about that. I didn't see myself as a candidate for sale. No one told me to pack my stuff.

"I feel very comfortable in Munich, I love the club, my teammates, and the people. Nevertheless, you only have a certain amount of time left [in the career] – so it's legitimate to think about it," he added about his future plans.

Gnabry has already raked up a goal and a couple of assists in two Bundesliga games this season whilst also registering an assist in the Bayern's DFL Supercup triumph over Stuttgart.
