Bayern Munich have had frustrating summer transfer window where they have failed to land any of their primary targets, starting from Florian Wirtz, Nico Williams to Nick Woltemade.
However they secured the signature of Luis Diaz from Liverpool that too at a premium price where the Reds controlled the narrative.
Now, with Kingsley Coman moving to Al Nassr, the Bavarians may enter the transfer market again looking for a replacement for the French winger.
According to reports via Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich have Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku at the top of their shortlist to replace Coman.
The Bayern bosses are impressed with the Frenchman mainly because of his capability to play in multiple positions but a deal remains on Chelsea's asking price for the 27-year-old.
The Blues are looking to push for the signing of RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons and are open to selling Nkunku to fund the move for the Dutchman.

However, Bayern Munich aren't the only club interested in Nkunku as according to Florian Plettenberg Inter Milan are also in the race to sign the France international.
Why are Bayern Munich chasing Nkunku?
With Coman's departure, Bayern Munich have once again lost the squad depth needed on their flanks and Nkunku is someone who could be an ideal replacement for Coman while also being a cost effective solution.

The 27-year-old brings everything that Bayern need in speed, dribbling, ball progression, creativity and goal output.
Bayern's director of sport Max Eberl is a big fan of Nkunku from his time at RB Leipzig and despite his issues at Chelsea, he believes that the Frenchman will regain his lost form if he moves to Bayern.
Given Nkunku's prior experience in Germany and his eagerness to prove himself after a tough period in England, the deal could work in Bayern's favour.
He featured in 46 appearances for Chelsea last season while registering 13 goals and three assists despite securing only 29 starts across all competitions.
Nkunku played a major role in Chelsea's Conference League triumph as he netted five goals and provided three assists in nine games.
Overall, Nkunku could be a good alternative for Bayern Munich but it remains to be seen if the Germans are in line with Chelsea's €50m ($58.4m) valuation for the 27-year-old attacker.
