Manchester United struck up a late deal for Jadon Sancho to join Premier League rivals Aston Villa on loan for the 2025/26 season.
Sancho was part of the "bomb squad", alongside Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia.
The Englishman spoke after his move and revealed several conversations that convinced him to join Aston Villa.
Who did Sancho speak to before his move to Villa?
Speaking to VillaTV, Sancho said, "When I spoke to the manager, he gave me belief and confidence. He showed me the plan of what they want to achieve this year, and it really inspired me.
"He definitely persuaded me, and I can’t wait to work under him."

Sancho spent the latter half of last season on loan at Chelsea, but the London club decided against a permanent transfer for Sancho.
He continued, "As a player and especially as a team, we have to be achieving big things. We have to be looking towards that, and hopefully, I can help the team to achieve some of those goals.
"The team comes first, so whenever the manager needs me, I’ll be ready. I’ve got individual goals, but my main goal is for the team.
"Achieving something as a team is much more special than individually. I feel like all players have individual goals, but the team always comes first. I’ll be looking to achieve goals with the team first."
Sancho then discussed a conversation he had with Rashford, who played on loan at Villa in the second half of last season.
He said, "I spoke to him while he was here last season, and I know he really enjoyed it.
"He said so many lovely things about the club, like how it’s a family and you feel that friendly environment with great players and staff. I definitely felt that as I came in."
