Casemiro breaks silence as Man Utd face big decision on his future image

Manchester United’s season began with questions on the pitch and even bigger ones off it. One of the biggest talking point? Casemiro’s future.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away, with Saudi clubs reportedly circling, while United’s new owners continue to keep a close eye on the wage bill.

Yet Casemiro has now spoken out, making it clear where he stands.

After United’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in their Premier League opener, Casemiro told reporters:

“I am very happy here. My family is happy here. I enjoy every day at Carrington and at Old Trafford. If people talk from the outside, that’s fine, it doesn’t interest me. I just want to focus on winning.”

Should Man Utd keep or sell Casemiro?

This is where things get tricky. Casemiro is 33, one of the top earners at the club, and United’s new regime under Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to be trimming costs.

From a financial view, a sale makes sense. From a football view, not so much.

Since Ruben Amorim arrived, Casemiro has been central in midfield, working alongside Bruno Fernandes to give the team balance and leadership.

Against Arsenal, he was one of the brighter performers, even if a goalkeeping error cost United the points.

He later admitted the team is still a work in progress but insisted they are moving in the right direction: “Manchester United always has to win. I think we have shown good moments, but we have to look for the victory. We are on the right path now.”

For now, no official offers have landed on United’s desk. But the clock is ticking in the transfer window, and the club must decide if keeping Casemiro’s experience is worth the cost — or if it’s time to cash in while they still can.

Fans may debate his future, but one thing is certain: Casemiro isn’t looking for the exit door himself. He still believes he has more to give in red, and he wants to prove it on the pitch.
