Ruben Amorim can breathe a sigh of relief, as Manchester United have finally agreed to sell Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano

Amorim made it clear to Garnacho that he would not play for United again following a turbulent season, and Garnacho has been training away from the first team.

The fee of £40m will be pure profit for United, as the Argentinian is considered a homegrown player.

Garnacho will join Chelsea on a seven-year deal, and United included a 10% sell-on clause in their deal.

The winger turned down approaches from several clubs, as he remained focused on a move to Chelsea.

Why did Chelsea want Garnacho?

The 21-year-old winger has been highly rated while at United.

Joining United's academy in 2020 from Atletico Madrid, Garnacho has since made 144 senior appearances for United and scored 26 goals.

Chelsea had made Garnacho a priority signing since July, with the London club desperate to sign more attacking players.

Garnacho was keen on Chelsea, as the Argentinian wanted to stay in the Premier League

The winger had previously turned down approaches from other clubs, including several Premier League and Saudi Arabian clubs.
