The ongoing summer transfer window has been witnessing a lot of changes in Manchester City's squad.

City have made four major signings so far, including Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, and Marcus Bettinelli. While new signees have made their place in Pep Guardiola's squad, some existing stars are left with doubts over their future at the Etihad. One such name is Phil Foden.

Foden has been included in Man City's squad for the Club World Cup after a tough time in the 2024-25 campaign, with only seven goals in the Premier League. However, despite his inclusion in the competition, the Englishman has been linked with a move away from the Etihad.

Earlier last month, Guardiola said (via BBC Sport) that the club intends to 'help' Foden.

"It's true, Phil said that and of course he has not been [at his best]. Not [just] for him, all of us, his family, for us. He's a baby boy from the academy and become a star with us. We want to help him, that's the most important thing."

Now, Foden has been tipped with a surprise move to one of Man City's rivals.

Which Premier League rivals can be Man City star Phil Foden's next potential destination?

Former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino has told talkSPORT that with the entire situation at Man City in the ongoing transfer window, he wouldn't be surprised if Guardiola decides to part ways with Foden.

Cascarino also mentioned that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta 'would really consider' having Foden if the opportunity presents itself.

"Obviously Arteta worked at Man City with Phil Foden and for whatever reason, I'm sure we'll find out down the line, Phil Foden just hasn’t been the player we know him to be this season. From where he was the Football Writers' Player of the Year the season before, his performances this year have just not justified that," he said.

"But all what's happening at City and all the spending that's gone on, I wouldn't be surprised if Foden is allowed to go somewhere. Whether City let him go Arsenal, I don't know, but they let Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko go there. If Arsenal could get him, I think Arteta would really consider that, yeah," Cascarino added.

Foden along with Man City are currently preparing for their first Club World Cup match, which is against Wydad AC on June 18 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
