Brazilian winger Savinho is set to sign a new Manchester City contract running until June 2031 after club executives approved all documentation and Fabrizio Romano confirmed the exclusive story with full details already finalized.
The 21-year-old joined City from French side Troyes in 2024 for £30.8m [$41m] and since then he has made 53 appearances across all competitions while scoring four goals, proving 13 assists and establishing himself as an important wide option in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Savinho missed the opening three games of the current season through injury yet he quickly responded by scoring his first goal of the campaign during City’s 2-0 Carabao Cup victory against Huddersfield Town which shows his growing confidence on the ball.
According to Givemesports, Tottenham expressed strong interest this summer and were prepared to pay over €70m [$81m], however Ferran Soriano who serves as CEO of the City Football Group blocked any exit.

The club feared repeating the regret felt when Cole Palmer joined Chelsea in 2023 and immediately delivered standout numbers.
Reportedly, Pep Guardiola always supported keeping Savinho at the club and while City explored the possibility of recruiting Real Madrid forward Rodrygo the manager insisted the Brazilian winger had the potential to become more clinical and decisive in the final third.
