Manchester City bagged a 1-0 win over Brentford in their seventh Premier League match of the campaign on October 5 at Gtech Community Stadium.

Erling Haaland netted the sole goal of the match after being set up by Josko Gvardiol in the ninth minute, taking Man City to rank fifth in the top flight with 13 points.

With this victory, Man City head coach Pep Guardiola reached a significant milestone of securing 250 Premier League wins, which puts him alongside former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Guardiola led Man City to 250 victories in just 349 league matches and made history by becoming the fastest manager to achieve this feat with one club.

Sir Alex completed his 250th victory in his 404th game for Man United, while Wenger did the same in 423 matches for Arsenal.

What did Pep Guardiola say about his new record with Man City?

Guardiola took charge of Man City in 2016 following his three-year managerial tenure at Bayern Munich, and the rest has been history.

The Catalan manager has since led City to win 18 trophies, including the club's first-ever Champions League title.

Speaking after the win on Sunday, Guardiola shared his thoughts on his incredible achievement and said,

"It's an honour to be alongside Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, I will invite them to a good dinner. It's a pleasure to be part of that in Premier League history, really pleased. Now let's go for 250 more," as per BBC Sport.

Guardiola will now look to further increase his win tally in Man City's next Premier League match against Everton on October 18 at Etihad Stadium.
