Manchester City went to work straight away in adding players to their squad ahead of the Club World Cup transfer deadline. The team signed Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki to bolster their midfield after losing Kevin De Bruyne.
With new additions to the midfield, one young player has been linked with a move away to secure more playing time. There has been interest from several teams, but one Bundesliga side is preparing a bid for the midfielder.
Which Manchester City player could be leaving this summer?
Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly expected to make a bid for Man City midfielder James McAtee, according to Sky Sports. Leverkusen's bid will come after the transfer window reopens on Monday.
McAtee has shown promise for City and the youth squads he has played for with both City and England. The midfielder has also played for Sheffield United, where he bagged twelve goals and six assists across two seasons.
The England youngster has struggled to become a staple in the City midfield. With talented players all around, Pep Guardiola has many options to choose from and McAtee hasn't always been the top pick.

The attacker played in 15 Premier League matches this season and scored three goals. He was also part of the team's Champions League squad for five matches, where he added one goal.
McAtee is currently playing in the U21 Euros for England, after opting out of the Club World Cup. Any move for McAtee would come after the close of both tournaments.
McAtee also had interest from Manchester United, but the team has since turned elsewhere. McAtee's fee is said to be upwards of £25m, but City could potentially set the midfielder's price much higher.
