Liverpool are reportedly already planning for life after Mohamed Salah.

The Premier League champions finished top of the summer spending table with almost £450m [$605m] spent on new faces and a final net spend of £218m [$294m].

Arne Slot twice broke the Premier League transfer record after agreeing a £100m [$134m] with Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz, and then landing Alexander Isak for £125m [$167m], after weeks of tense talks with Newcastle United.

Those moves came on the back of securing two vital contract extensions earlier this year as captain Virgil van Djk and Salah penned extensions until 2027.

Salah wrapped up 2024/25 with some sensational numbers as the Egypt international record highest goal tally since 2017/28, with 34 scored across all competitions.

However, the 33-year-old has endured a mixed start to 2025/26, with three goals scored, as Liverpool's form has faltered in recent weeks.

That has reopened rumours of a possible Saudi Pro League move next summer, and if he does remain on Merseyside, there will be no renewal beyond 2027.

As per the previous reports from Football Insider, Slot is considering a bold swoop for Bayern Munich attacker Michael Olise, after the France international netted 20 goals in his debut 2024/25 campaign in Bavaria.

However, the latest indication claims a minimum asking price of £130m [$175m] will be set if Liverpool formalise their interest in 2026.

Bayern Munich will not welcome any interest in Olise, who is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029, and sporting director Christoph Freund had a clear message for Liverpool and other interested teams.

"For the next seven, eight, nine years, that's how long we could see him playing in Munich," as per Sky Germany.

"He's really hit the ground running. He's taken another step forward and he still has a long-term contract."

Olise already has five goals and four assists this season with Vincent Kompany's team winning all 10 games so far.
