Christopher Nkunku made the move to AC Milan from Chelsea on a five-year deal reportedly worth €42 million in August.
Nkunku arrived at Stamford Bridge from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in June 2023 and suffered a serious knee injury in that season, which led him to miss 14 matches for club and country. In the 2024-25 campaign, the Frenchman was sidelined for six games after picking up a knock.
Nkunku, who made a total of 48 appearances across competitions for Chelsea last season, recording 15 goals and five assists, was not considered in head coach Enzo Maresca’s plans for the future, prompting his transfer to the Serie A club.
Now, the 27-year-old has opened up about his time at Chelsea, mentioning that Maresca 'made other decisions' about his future at the Blues.

After the international break, Nkunku is expected to make his debut for AC Milan in their Serie A match against Bologna on September 14 at San Siro Stadium.
