Alejandro Garnacho finds himself in a hard place these days.

Despite being linked with a move to Chelsea all summer long, the Manchester United winger still finds himself waiting for the move to materialise.

With less than a week to go in the summer transfer window, the Argentine international is still eagerly waiting to move to Stamford Bridge before the September 1 deadline.

It has been claimed that the Blues have been waiting for more sales before officially making their move for the Red Devils' attacker.

Reportedly, the 21-year-old has an agreement in place in place with Chelsea, so the onus is on the clubs to finalise a fee and seal the transfer.

Now, there seems to be a positive update in the transfer saga as Chelsea have reached an agreement with United for the transfer of Garnacho.

Chelsea reach agreement for Alejandro Garnacho

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea and Man Utd now have a ‘broad agreement’ in place for the permanent transfer of Garnacho.

The deal has advanced in the last couple of days, even though it’s still not 100% wrapped up.

It is understood that there are still some final details to settle as the Blues continue their push to sell more players this summer.

The report further states that the feeling is that both Chelsea and Man Utd will settle on a deal in the region of £50m with add-ons included.

Garnacho has rejected the likes of Bayern Munich and teams in the Saudi Pro League to focus on joining Chelsea, which is why supporters should be encouraged by his clear desire to play for Enzo Maresca’s side.

More importantly, Garnacho has reportedly already told his friends and family that he will be joining the Blues this summer, so it will be embarrassing if this move does not go through.
