Both players averaged over 100 in this 38-leg marathon match.
James Wade held on to win in a tiebreaker, but Clayton didn't make it easy.

It was just the group stage, but Humphries picked up an important win over Michael Smith, who was making his return to playing at a TV major.
In their match, Humphries hit a thrilling match-sealing 9-darter, something that has only happened a few times at TV majors before.
Humphries went on to make the final of the tournament, but lost to Luke Littler.

7. Luke Littler vs. Luke Humphries: 2025 Premier League Night 16 quarterfinal
This is arguably one of the greatest games in the history of the Premier League.
Both players averaged over 110, with Littler averaging 115.96 and Humphries averaging 110.01.
The two players combined for 14 180s in the nine-leg contest.
6. Germany vs. England: 2025 World Cup of Darts second round
The debut of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries as a duo had been something darts fans were talking about for months.
They appeared to be impossible to beat, as they came into the tournament as the two highest-ranked players in the world.
However, Germany's duo of Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko did the impossible, winning the match 8-4 on home soil to pick up a legendary win that will be remembered for years.

5. Luke Littler vs. Gerwyn Price: 2025 World Grand Prix quarterfinal
The quality of this game, numbers-wise, isn't eye-catching, but if you watched this contest, you'd understand how much drama the match had.
Gerwyn Price was on his way to a blowout win, but Littler hit a clutch ton-plus checkout to save himself.
The match went on to go all the way to a final set and to a last-leg decider.
Littler once again needed a huge checkout to win the game, and hit a timely 152 to win an epic match against an in-form Gerwyn Price.
4. Luke Littler vs. Josh Rock: 2025 World Matchplay semifinal
Luke Littler once again started a game at this tournament slowly, trailing 0-5 early against Rock.
Come leg #8, he started to heat up, but so did Rock, as both players were six darts into a perfect leg.
Littler denied Rock even having a chance at taking it out, as he hit a 9-darter that led to a run of legs that got him back in the contest.
He went on to beat Rock 17-14, averaging a 107.5.
Rock had an incredible average of 104.15 himself, but it wasn't enough.
In the 31-leg contest, 29 180s were hit between the two players.

3. David Munyua vs. Mike De Decker: 2025 PDC Darts World Championship first round
Mike De Decker was facing Kenya's first-ever PDC WC qualifier and was a heavy favorite to win the match.
It looked like he was going to come away with the match, as he led 2-0 in sets.
However, Munyua was able to fight back, with thrilling moments along the way, like a 135 checkout and starting a leg with back-to-back 180s.
This is viewed by some as one of the greatest upsets of all time in the sport's history.
