Prediction for Luke Littler vs Luke Humphries 2025 World Grand Prix of Darts final image

After six days of action, only 2/32 players remain in the World Grand Prix of Darts.

Luke Littler and Luke Humphries' rivalry will continue, as they'll play a fifth TV major final against one another on Sunday.

Both players have looked to be in great form the past few days, but only one can come out on top in the final.

2025 World Grand Prix of Darts final predictions

Here is my prediction for the final.

Luke Littler (2) vs. Luke Humphries (1)

Winner: Luke Littler, 6-4

Per usual, these matches are hard to choose a winner in.

Littler typically gets the edge with how successful he has been on stage in the past two years, even against Humphries at times.

Believe it or not, Littler is 1-3 in major finals against Humphries, with losses at the 2024 WC, 2024 PC Finals and the 2025 Premier League. Littler's lone win is his 2024 Premier League title.

The big storyline has been that Littler wants to make up ground in that area after losing to Humphries in the Premier League final in May.

They have played very few times since, after they were practically playing each other every week when the Premier League season was still in full swing.

The World Grand Prix final will be the longest format we've seen them play each other in since Littler's WC debut, so it should be an entertaining match that fans will appreciate and be tuned in for.

Littler has had his moments this week where he's looked absolutely unstoppable, with no way to combat his scoring or finishing.

He managed to dismantle Jonny Clayton in their semifinal game, who is no easy opponent, considering he's had a great year so far.

It's hard to imagine seeing this match going anything less than nine sets, so expect a fairly close game between the top two-rated players in the world.

Humphries looked a lot more comfortable on stage in recent days, which could hint at an end-of-the-year surge for him, as he'll try to protect a substantial amount of prize money at this tournament as well as the following majors.

Littler should be able to defeat Humphries, as few can outplay him, especially in longer games that truly challenge a player's skills.
