The final day of the 2025 European DartsChampionship will feature the quarterfinals, semifinals and final.
We saw many top seeds go down in the second round on Saturday, opening more avenues for players to try and have a career day on Sunday.
2025 European Darts Championship Day 4 predictions: Quarterfinal, semifinal and final
MORE: 2025 European Darts Championship: Draw, schedule, prize money and format explained
Here are my predictions for Day 4.
*The quarterfinal matchups are set, but the predictions for the semifinal and final will be based on my predictions for the previous round/s
Ryan Joyce (15) vs. Gian van Veen (10) - QF
Winner: Gian van Veen, 10-6
Van Veen started Saturday with an incredible performance, averaging 109.92 and was 10/15 on doubles.
Joyce's average dropped from the first round to the second round, while van Veen was able to reach another level despite the longer format change.
GVV must be itching to get to the evening session, so it's hard for me to see him dropping this one.
Michael van Gerwen (19) vs. Daryl Gurney (27) - QF
Winner: Michael van Gerwen, 10-8
After counting out MVG in the first two rounds, I'm going to switch it up for the quarterfinals.
Gurney has won both of his games this week with averages in the low 90s, which is something that MVG should be able to capitalize on if it happens again.
Gurney has beaten two excellent players (Gerwyn Price & Ross Smith), so it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see him beat MVG on Sunday, but I still think MVG has shown this week that he has enough to beat Gurney and advance to the semifinals.

Danny Noppert (17) vs. Ricardo Pietreczko (25) - QF
Winner: Danny Noppert, 10-6
Pietreczko has had some entertaining games this tournament, but hasn't beaten any players with quality scoring performances yet.
Noppert has already overcome the likes of Nathan Aspinall and Dirk van Duijvenbode, with averages of 104.88 and 101.12.
'Pikachu' will have the German crowd behind him once again, which should help, but Noppert is looking to make a second consecutive TV major semifinal, after getting that far at the World Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago.
James Wade (13) vs. Luke Humphries (5) - QF
Winner: James Wade, 10-9
Wade is coming off the high of beating Luke Littler in the second round, and has the challenge of playing another top-two-ranked player before the semifinal round has even begun.
I expect Humphries to play another game that goes very close to a last-leg decider, as he did against Cameron Menzies on Saturday.
The fine margins will ultimately determine the winner of this one, but I think Wade being challenged again will bring the best out of him, and he could take home the win if he can be efficient on the outer ring.

Gian van Veen (10) vs. Michael van Gerwen (19) - SF
Winner: Gian van Veen, 11-8
I will continue to ride the van Veen train through the semifinals, which would mean he would make just his second career TV major semifinal (2023 European Championship).
This could be a passing the tourch-esque moment if van Veen can beat one of the all-time Dutch greats.
James Wade (13) vs. Danny Noppert (17) - SF
Winner: Danny Noppert, 11-9
This is another must-watch game, as it should be a neck-and-neck contest if both play to their ceilings.
Noppert has made the semifinal in this event in 2023 & 2024, and I believe he will break that streak by making it to the final to face his 2025 World Cup of Darts partner.

Gian van Veen (10) vs. Danny Noppert (17) - F
Winner: Gian van Veen, 11-7
A lot has to be done for this scenario to occur, but the implications for both players in this hypothetical final would be tremendous.
Both players could go into the top 10 on the Main OoM and potentially even further than that.
This would strengthen both players' cases for a Premier League selection in 2026, and would give them a ton of momentum as we approach the Grand Slam of Darts, Players Championship Finals and the World Championship.
I like the upside for van Veen here, who has a great chance to win his first career major, especially with a ton of the big names already eliminated.
