Australia made four changes ahead of the fourth instalment of this series, welcoming Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa and Ben Dwarshuis to the side for the first time this series. Meanwhile, Josh Philippe was brought back into the fold, after being omitted ahead of game three.
The changes meant Matt Short opened the batting alongside Mitch Marsh, whose previous partner, Travis Head, is now focusing on the upcoming Ashes series. Short looked more comfortable than in previous matches, but still only produced 25 runs. It remains to be seen if the Aussies will stick with this opening partnership.
Zampa returned ahead of schedule, after previously being tipped to miss the entire series, impressed as he took figures of 3-45.
Australia predicted XI: Mitch Marsh (c), Matt Short, Josh Inglis (wk), Josh Philippe, Tim David, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa, Xavier Bartlett, Ben Dwarshuis
The opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill have faced the first ball of every match this series, and arguably played their best combined game in match four.
Indian captain, Suryakumar Yadav, has rotated his spot in the batting order, coming in at either three or four.
Washington Sundar entered the lineup in match three, a masterful decision by the Indian selectors. He's shown his ability to pile on runs quickly, as well as take quick wickets. In match four he took three wickets in just eight balls.
